Collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages
As an innovative player in the market of home accessories we think that, in addition to making our production process more sustainable, it is also important to give something back to society. For this reason, Dijk Natural Collections has worked together with SOS Children’s Villages since 2021. This international children’s development organisation considers family the most important base for a healthy development of children and has worked for children without parents or a safe home for over 70 years. We of Dijk Natural Collections will gladly help invest in this solid family base, so all children can develop themselves optimally and have a chance of a fine future.

Quote Erik Nieste, Dijk Natural Collections
‘In our search for a suitable cause we have defined a number of important pillars. We were looking for a cause aimed at children, which is active in the countries that have contributed to the realisation of a large part of our collection and through that, to our success. We also wanted to contribute to a project with which we could make the greatest impact. Thus we arrived at SOS Children’s Villages and wholeheartedly decided to support the projects in Chad, one of the world’s poorest countries, even though our products do not hail from there.’

Quote Arian Buurman, director SOS Children’s Villages the Netherlands
‘As an expert in the field of home accessories Dijk Natural Collections knows, just like we do, how important it is that your home really is a home. Love and the safety of your family plays a large role in this. We are therefore very happy with this fine, new collaboration. Only thanks to our partners we can change the lives of these children for the better. It is heart-warming to see that Dijk Natural collections has decided to support our projects in Chad, a ‘forgotten country’ in Africa where the situation is especially dire and SOS Children’s Villages is one of the few aid organisations to be permanently present.’

We are looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages and will keep you informed of the developments.

‘In addition to financial support we have briefly tried to stimulate and help the local economy by adding local or national products from Chad to our assortment. Unfortunately, this proved not feasible for logistic reasons. We are therefore currently investigating what products we can select from our existing collection to offer additional support in the form of remittance per product sold.’
