Internal transport: it starts in our own workplace For internal transport in our storehouse we use 22 electric vehicles of Toyota. This form of internal transport is not only considerably quieter than, for instance, vehicles running on LPG, but also much cleaner: no harmful emissions are released. Furthermore, the energy required for charging all 22 vehicles is entirely generated by our own solar panels.

External transport: partners in sustainability For the (inter)national transport of our products we work together with carefully selected logistic partners, who also have sustainability high on their agendas. A number of them already drives electrically, for instance.

An eye for transport efficiency With full attention to the reduction of CO2 emission, we are continuously looking for smarter, more efficient ways to transport our goods. For instance, we have optimised our packaging processes in collaboration with our international partners. Thanks to this new work method we can load more products per pallet and have been able to reduce the number of outgoing pallets by 10%*. A fine example of a cost-saving intervention, which goes hand in hand with a decrease on environmentally harmful activities. After all, fewer pallets mean less road transport.

Long-term goals Together with one of our partners we are currently investigating with what investments in sustainable projects we can not only reduce, but also compensate for the CO2 emission of our worldwide transports. We have the ambition to make our sea freight 100% climate-neutral in the long term. In addition, we will keep working with our partners on initiatives to reduce the number of transport movements and make them more sustainable. In this context, we are working on a transport sustainability plan for 2022 and beyond.
